ah i know i haven been blogging .! letting all the procrastination get to me.,

so anyway , heres the majorly overdued beijing trip post! which was like on 28-29 feb. haha oh man thats half a month ago.

ah so anyways, just some background - i was at beijing for the inaugural beijing olympics cultural tour opening to be SUN's international choir. so basically the choir comprises of 23 people of 16 different nationalities. and we sang this olympic hymn that is supposedly translated and performed at every hosting country during the olympic games, and it was truly a great honor to be able to sing it, cos this was the first time that it was ever translated into chinese. wow what an honor. and it was an amazing trip knowing all the people fromthe different nations! ! . we had a goodtime examining everyones passport too .haha

we actly only came to know of the trip about a week before flying off, so we really took every opportunity thatwe had to practise and learn the song .whats more challenging was that close to half of the people in the choir didnt know how to speak chinese! so it was extra challenging when they had to learn the pronounciation and eventually even memorizing it!

it was a really short trip.! we left singapore on thurday morning and came back on friday night! thats like barely 2 days . but still it was an amazing experience.!

i've been to China for like soooo many times when i was young , but i never did visit beijing before, so this was kinda like my first time there. haha.

our first day was spent unpacking at the hotel, reruning the songs with Sun at her hotel, and having a good and hearty meal at a nice chinese restaurant(:

wa thinking of the food makes me drool..we had like super alot of food, 9 or 10 course meal , that were really delicious. plus we tasted the authentic peking duck. muahaha. it actly cost us about 10 sgd per pax. super cheap right!! after the meal i was totally charged up for performance the next day ha..

we spent our late night venturing around. but apparently all the shops were closed, except for the very familiar 7eleven. haha

and johnpaul and andrew took our dare to take off their coats .!! it was so funny cos seriously it was pretty cold, plus the wind was madly strong . so they just kept shivering and jumping around. i think the security probably thought we were mad. ha

and oh btw, the hotel that we stayed in is a 5 star hotel! but we didnt really explore the facilities. and i , being very gei kiang, organised a morning gym at 7.30 am .so early cos we had to meet and head to the location at 9am haha so we all set our alarm and everything,all prepared to go gyming next morning .

and lo and behold we woke up at 8.50 am . HA i tell you it was a mad rush really. plus aizhen, one of the incharge, was our roommate ! hha so as expected, we got suaned really badly by everyone from then on .ha. i think this is so typical of me lor.we didnt even go for our complimentary breakfast . !!!

then we made our way to the royal palace, and we had some time to just walk around ,visit the royal palace, take pictures, well at least some evidence that we were really at beijing haha.
